Terms of service

These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of sockshot.com (the "Site") and your purchases from the Sockshot store. The Site and the store are operated by ASTRAL AGENCY LLC ("we", "us", "our"), 4405 Jager Dr NE, Ste C4-4490, Rio Rancho, NM 87144, United States. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
1. Who can buy
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. Younger users may use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
2. Products and descriptions
We try to describe and photograph our products as accurately as possible. Colors may look slightly different depending on your screen, and minor changes in materials or design may occur. Product details, including what is included in the box, are listed on the product page.
3. Prices and payment
Our prices are set in US dollars. If you shop in another currency, the converted price is shown on the Site and at checkout, and your bank may charge its own conversion fees. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. Payments are processed through Shopify's checkout and its payment partners. We may change prices at any time, but the price that applies to your order is the one shown when you placed it.
If a product is listed at an incorrect price because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after you received an order confirmation. We will tell you if this happens.
4. Orders
Your order confirmation email means we received your order. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if a product is unavailable, if we suspect fraud, or if the shipping address can't be served. If we cancel an order you paid for, we refund you in full.
5. Shipping, returns and refunds
Shipping is described in our shipping policy. Returns and refunds are described in our refund policy, including our 30-day return window. Both policies are part of these Terms.
6. Safe use of our products
Please read and follow the instructions that come with your product. In particular:
- An adult should assemble the product and check that it fits the door securely.
- Do not hang, climb or pull on the hoop, the backboard or the frame.
- Use only a soft or mini ball indoors, and keep play away from windows, lights and fragile objects.
- Keep small parts, such as screws and adhesive pads, away from children under 3.
- Check the hooks and pads from time to time and stop using the product if a part is damaged.
Misuse of the product, or use against these instructions, is at your own risk.
7. Reviews and content you send us
If you submit a review, photo, video or other content, you confirm that it is honest, based on your own experience, and that you have the right to share it. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and use it on the Site and in our marketing, with your first name or the name you chose. We may decline or remove content that is off-topic, offensive or unlawful, but we do not edit reviews to change their meaning.
8. Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, images, logos, illustrations and design, belong to us or to our licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written permission.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site to break the law, to interfere with how the Site works, to try to access accounts or data that are not yours, to scrape or copy the Site in bulk, or to send spam or harmful code.
10. Third-party services
The Site relies on third-party services, such as Shopify, payment processors and shipping carriers, and may link to other websites. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
11. Warranty disclaimer
Except as stated in our refund policy and to the extent permitted by law, the Site and our products are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Some states do not allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our products. Our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ASTRAL AGENCY LLC and its members and service providers from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site or our products.
14. Disputes and governing law
If you have a problem, please email us at contact@sockshot.com first. Most issues can be solved quickly, and we will try to resolve yours within 30 days. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be handled by the state or federal courts located in New Mexico, unless the law of your state gives you the right to bring it where you live.
If you live outside the United States, for example in the European Union or the United Kingdom, these Terms do not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, including your right of withdrawal and your right to bring a claim before the courts where you live.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order.
16. Other terms
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms and the policies they refer to are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site and your purchases.
